A very useful tool in finding out how well your favorite charity is raising and managing money. As I'm writing this, I'm wearing the silicone wristbands of two notable charities: the LiveStrong Foundation for cancer research, and the National Multiple Sclerosis Foundation (national office in New York). So let's take a look at FY 2006.
National MS Society (3 out of 4 stars):
- Total Revenue: $99,695,906
- Total Functional Expenses: $99,604,670
- Excess (or Deficit) for the year: $91,236
- Net Assets: $27,238,899
- Overall Rating : (59.61)
- Total Revenue: $31,778,162
- Total Functional Expenses: $37,169,617
- Excess (or Deficit) for the year: $-5,391,455
- Net Assets: $29,226,846
- Overall Rating : (52.49)
Draw your own conclusions.
